The Pandyas defeated the Pallavas. Chola’s rule started in the 10th century. They ruled the region till the collapse of the Chola Empire. Later, the Vijayanagara Empire ruled. The Delhi Sultanate ruled South India after Malik Kapur’s 14th-century conquests. The Visayanagar Empire drove them out and conquered the region.

After the Ramayana war, Vibhishana, who had visited many temples in India starting from Rameswaram, wanted to take Peruman with the school to Sri Lanka. On his way, Kaveri River and Kolli crossed the road. Then Vibhishana gave an idol of Nadar with a school to a boy who came there and went to settle his morning debts. Ganesha came as a boy. He, the schoolboy, did not want to leave the place, and instead of putting down the idol, he fixed the image there. Upon his return, Vibhishana said that he could not move it and stabbed the boy in the head, leaving a scar on the back of Uchi Pillaiyar’s head that can still be seen.
